Our Commitment to Safety & Governance

RDAQ is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, transparency and accountability in everything we do. As a registered charity and member of the Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia (RDAA), we follow national legislation and accreditation standards alongside our own state-based policies. These policies and procedures ensure safe, inclusive programs for participants, fair support for volunteers, and responsible governance across all centres. Documents are reviewed regularly to reflect current legislation and the evolving needs of our community. This page provides access to key legislation, policies, guidelines and resources that guide our work and uphold the integrity of RDAQ.

Legislation

RDAQ is bound by Queensland and national legislation for not-for-profits and charities, including:

National Integrity Framework

In June 2022, RDAA adopted Sport Integrity Australia’s National Integrity Framework, a significant step toward ensuring a safer and more inclusive environment. All RDAQ participants, staff and volunteers are bound by these policies, which cover safeguarding children, member protection, drugs and medicines, competition integrity and complaint handling.

Framework Policies (2022):

Complaints under this framework are handled independently by Sport Integrity Australia.
