Welcome to Rockhampton RDA!

At Rockhampton RDA, children and adults living with disability are welcomed into a friendly, inclusive environment where horse riding opens the door to confidence, connection and growth. Based in the heart of Central Queensland, our centre offers accredited equine-assisted programs that combine fun, fitness and freedom.

Riders begin with gentle trail rides that encourage relaxation and trust before moving into the arena for games and activities designed to improve balance, coordination and independence. Each lesson is guided by accredited coaches and supported by dedicated volunteers who ensure every rider feels safe, supported and encouraged.

Our Current Timetable

RDAQ Rockhampton offers structured horse riding sessions supported by accredited coaches and dedicated volunteers. Our lessons focus on developing confidence, coordination and connection, with programs adapted to suit each rider’s abilities and goals.

Volunteering, Sponsorships & Donations

Volunteers are an essential part of Rockhampton RDA—assisting with lessons, grooming, horse leading, side-walking, arena setup, and grounds maintenance. No horse experience is required; training and support are provided to help you feel confident in your role. Volunteering is a rewarding way to meet new people, learn new skills and make a real difference in the lives of others.

If you’d prefer to support the centre through sponsorship or donation, your contribution will directly fund horse feed, veterinary care, training for volunteers, equipment and facility maintenance. Every donation—big or small—helps ensure riders living with disability can continue to access safe and meaningful equestrian activities.
