Welcome to Bundaberg RDA!

Bundaberg RDA is proud to deliver horse riding lessons and hippotherapy programs for children and adults living with disability in the local community.

Based at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct, our centre makes use of an undercover arena and safe facilities that allow lessons to run in all conditions. Every session is led by accredited coaches and supported by dedicated volunteers who make riders feel welcome and confident from the moment they arrive.

With programs tailored to individual needs, our horses play an important role in helping participants build balance, independence and joy. On this page, you’ll find our current riding timetable, along with details on how to get started, how to get involved as a volunteer and who to contact for more information.

Volunteering, Sponsorships & Donations

Bundaberg RDA relies on the generosity of our community—whether through time, skills or financial support—to keep our programs running and accessible. Volunteers are the heart of our centre, helping with horse leading, side walking, coaching, animal care, fundraising and administration. You don’t need any horse experience to get involved, as full training and support are provided. Volunteering is flexible, with opportunities to assist on Wednesdays between 8am and 2pm, for an hour, a session or the whole day.

We also welcome donations and sponsorships to help us purchase equipment, train coaches and volunteers, and maintain our facilities. Contributions can be financial, in-kind or through formal sponsorship arrangements, each making a real difference to riders and families in our region. To get involved, please contact Bundaberg RDA directly.

Bundaberg RDA Sponsors

We’re grateful for the generous support of our local sponsors, whose contributions help Bundaberg RDA deliver safe, inclusive and life-changing programs. Their commitment makes a real difference for our riders, families and volunteers every day.
