Volunteer at our centre

Toowoomba RDA welcomes all who wish to make a difference to the lives of people living with a disability.

There many ways you can contribute….even if you do not wish to work with the horses! We can use your knowledge and skills to help with fencing, gardening, grounds maintenance, painting, marketing, publicity, cleaning and maintenance of riding gear……the lists is long.

Those who do wish to help with our wonderful horses are able to assist in many ways:   feeding; grooming; preparing the horses for a lesson; assisting the Coach and Riders during a lesson.

For those who may wish to follow a career in health and or disability services the RDA provides an opportunity for you to gain valuable skills and experience in supporting people with a disability.

Some things to note:

  • Volunteers must be 0ver 12 years and must be able to demonstrate that they are physically capable of performing the duties they are allocated.

  • Young people under 18 years must have written parental permission to volunteer.

  • All volunteers must undergo a police check.

If you can volunteer for only one hour once a week, a fortnight or a month, we are keen to hear from you. To register your interest please complete the 2023 RDA Queensland Volunteer Form and email to rda@tba.gmail.com

We will provide both hands-on training and fact sheets to help build your skills.

Come join us, have fun and make a difference!
