Dear Centres
We now have the results 🏆 of the RDAQ 2022 State Championships. Both the Dressage and Working Trail tests were judged by international RDA judges and Para Olympian coaches, Mary Longden and Sally Francis OAM.
The Championships were again held using a ‘virtual format’ with seven (7) centres submitting videos of the 32 participants competing in one or more of the dressage or working trails tests, as set by RDAA.
Congratulations to equal overall first winners, Sienna Cocks and Sophia Laing, both from Maryborough RDA, with a score of 84.5%. Second placed was Sophie Briscoe, also from Maryborough, and third placed was Nate Steinhardt from Hervey Bay.
This year the RDAQ Board decided to include three additional awards: The Golden Lead Rope Award, The Best Horse and Rider Turnout Award – Dressage, and the Best Horse and Rider Turnout Ward – Working Trails.
The inaugural Golden Lead Rope Award goes to Ann-Jane Brown assisting Skylee Robinson at Lockyer Valley RDA.
Caleb Gordon on Nobby (Samford) was awarded the Horse and Rider Turnout – Dressage and Nate Steinhardt on Sparkles (Hervey Bay) was awarded the Horse and Rider Turnout- Working Trails.
Well done to everyone.
Kind Regards
